Dear Friends of the Abode,

We are delighted to announce a new chapter for the Abode of the Message! On Tuesday, June 13th, the New York State Attorney General approved the transfer of sole membership of The Abode of the Message, Inc. from the Inayatiyya to Friends of South Family, Inc.

We wish to thank all of those who have made this process possible for the Abode with sincere gratitude.

Please stay in touch over 2023 as the Abode begins to launch a new website and refresh of all the main buildings. Information is forthcoming about some very special volunteer programs, retreats, lectures and other opportunities to come. Dear Friends,

We dedicate our heartfelt service as a newly formed nonprofit with a mission to protect and honor the beautiful Mount Lebanon and its surrounding lands, which have been known as the Abode of the Message for almost half a century. This place is a treasure and as we look to its need for stewardship we give thanks for the wealth of history that lives on. Our name is Friends of South Family and our intention is to steward the Abode into the future; supporting the love of this land, the harmonies of nature and the inherent beauty and wisdom of this place. Through remembrance of the Abode of the Message founders, we are offering a renewed focus for inspired generations now and into the future.
